DATE: 2ND SEPT– 4TH SEPT 2020

Vision

Christ-centered leaders in Africa educated to transform God’s people and the world.

Mission

To educate Christ-centered leaders for the transformation of God’s people and the world through innovative programmes, research, and community engagement.

Core Values

  1. Excellence with Relevance—a solutions approach to learning.
  2. Faith with Integrity—a discipleship and missional approach to theology and spirituality.
  3. Leadership with Servanthood and Stewardship—leadership that combines deep and personal humility and humanity with an unwavering commitment to do the will of God at all costs.
  4. Innovation with Community—not ministry or marketplace “soloists” but teamoriented leaders who seek creative and biblical solutions for the common good in their respective areas of calling
Note: All first-year students are required to attend.

Orientation Preparation

As directed by the government and the university administration on the management of the spread of Covid-19, the university programs will be undertaken online as we await for the situation to stabilize for the resumption of physical one-on-one engagement. As such, the orientation for our new students for September 2020 intake will also be conducted online. This will be enabled by the use of Microsoft Teams platform.

What do you need as a student to prepare for online orientation?

  1. Check the orientation schedule. Confirm the timings and whether there are breaks in between. Confirm the orientation timings before you start the day.
  2. Get a quiet room at home. Choose a place within your home. It could be a corner in the house, garden or your study room. Prepare the place well. Set it aside and let everyone know that you would be attending the orientation sessions from that place and avoid distractions.
  3. Get a comfortable table and a comfortable chair from where you will be listening your lectures. Having a comfortable furniture will help you concentrate well.
  4. Prepare your writing materials. It is important to write your own notes when the presentation is going on. The presenter will not monitor your body language to find out whether there are areas you did not understand. It is upon you to take small short notes and ask questions where you need clarity.
  5. Prepare your technology ahead of time.
  • Make choices on the gadgets you will use, either a smart phone or a laptop. A laptop is highly encouraged.
  • Check and ensure your network connectivity and reliability. Choose a place with proper network connectivity.
  • Prepare your audio and video tools. Configure them ahead of time
  • Confirm your source of power. If you’re using your phone or laptop, charge it well ahead of time.

How do you join the online orientation?
